Goldfields Aboriginal workers who deal with alcohol and other drug issues as part of their work met for the first time in Kalgoorlie on Thursday 3 and Friday 4 June 2010. Participants appreciated the chance to share information about the services available in the Goldfields and to discuss ways to improve services for local Aboriginal people. Leadership and Management Program - Limited Places Available
The Drug and Alcohol Office (DAO) through WANADA has funded a new Leadership and Management Program for the alcohol and other drug sector in WA. Leaders, current managers and emerging managers are encouraged to take part in either the Leadership or the Management stream of the program, which will be developed and delivered by independent training organisation PPC Worldwide. Limited places are available in the second intake of both the Leadership and the Management streams.
