Goldfields Aboriginal workers who deal with alcohol and other drug issues as part of their work met for the first time in Kalgoorlie on Thursday 3 and Friday 4 June 2010. Participants appreciated the chance to share information about the services available in the Goldfields and to discuss ways to improve services for local Aboriginal people. Indigenous Youth Against Grog (IYAG) Success
WANADA is pleased to receive $147,650 through the National Binge Drinking Strategy for IYAG - Indigenous Youth Against Grog, a two-year project that will find culturally- and age-appropriate ways to educate Aboriginal youth in the Pilbara and the Midwest about the harms related to alcohol use.
