South West Mobile Needle and Syringe Exchange
Service Description
WA Substance Users Association (WASUA) is the state peer-based drug user organisation in WA representing the interests of people who use drugs illicitly. The South West needle exchange works in partnership with the SW Population Health Unit (SWPHU). Regional training, support and peer education sessions are delivered throughout the region.
Services Offered
Mobile Needle & Syringe Exchange Program (MNSEP);
Monday: Collie Hospital Car Park 5pm – 7pm
Tuesday: Busselton Hospital Car Park (opposite St John Ambulance) 5pm – 7pm
Wednesday: Manjimup Hospital Car Park 12pm – 1pm, Bunbury Jaycees Park (near train station, Forrest Rd) 4.30pm – 6.30pm
Fixed Needle and Syringe exchange program site open (97 Spencer St, Bunbury);
Mon to Wed 10am-2pm
Thurs to Fri 3.30pm-7.30pm

Target Groups
People in the Bunbury area who inject drugs including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, street-based sex workers, people from CALD backgrounds, people in custodial settings, people who currently use or may use substances illicitly
